Turnkey in four months
Our company carried out a full turnkey renovation in four months. The project combined the refurbishment of an old home with contemporary interior design, shaping a home with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and balconies with fine views over the city.
Working with the personality of the apartment
The starting point was to work with the personality of the apartment. Restoring the ceilings and taking care of the existing features made it possible to keep that special feeling of Barcelona's historic homes. The white finish brings out their relief and works with the natural light, while the new materials add warmth and a more current reading of the space.
The large living room, heart of the home
Renovating an apartment in an old building means coordinating restoration with the needs of everyday life. In this project, the layout, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the storage and the lighting were planned together. The large living room became the heart of the home, with room to share and to enjoy the connection with the neighbourhood through its balconies.
A kitchen of wood, marble and black tapware
The kitchen combines wood-look fronts with marble-effect worktops and splashbacks. An island with a sink extends the work surface, while the integrated appliances keep the composition clean. The black tapware adds a discreet contrast and the herringbone flooring gives rhythm and continuity to the interior.
Two bathrooms, two ideas
The two bathrooms were renovated with different ideas, united by attention to detail. In one, blue-green tiles give the shower area centre stage and contrast with white marble-effect surfaces. In the other, large-format tiles in grey tones create a calm atmosphere. Clear shower screens, wall-hung vanities and black tapware complete both spaces.
Renovating bathrooms and kitchens in Barcelona means taking care of both the layout and the execution: the tiling, the junctions between finishes, the position of the water points and the lighting of each area. In this home, those details allow the contemporary elements to live alongside the original architecture.
Storage as part of the design
Storage is also part of the design. The dressing room makes the most of the space with open modules, rails and drawers, including a unit under the window. The light tones and the continuity of the finishes help to integrate these solutions into the whole without taking attention away from the restored ceilings.
Trades and phases, coordinated
The turnkey delivery, completed in four months, was the result of coordinating the different trades and the phases of the works. From the interior refurbishment to the fitting of the furniture and the final finishes, every intervention was organised as part of one and the same project.
This renovation in the Gothic Quarter reflects the way we renew homes with history: keeping what gives them character and adapting their spaces to be enjoyed every day. An apartment with soul, open to the life of one of Barcelona's most singular neighbourhoods.
