Project · Remote renovation

Renovation of a rental apartment, managed remotely.
Gavà, Barcelona.

A small apartment in Gavà, next to Barcelona, bought to let. The owner purchased it by power of attorney and contacted us online: he wanted a modern, neat interior on a sensible budget, and to organise the whole renovation without being there.

A renovation organised from outside Spain

We took on the organisation and execution of the turnkey renovation. Decisions on finishes, materials and interiors were agreed remotely, and during the works we sent regular video reports and discussed the details with the client. The owner could follow the progress and make decisions without leaving his country.

An interior designed for letting

When preparing an apartment to let, the space has to be used sensibly and the interior should be easy to furnish for future tenants. Light walls, wood-look flooring, a simple kitchen in grey tones and recessed ceiling lights form a calm, contemporary base.

Our team includes an architect, so we can address the layout, the interior design and the technical solutions together. In small apartments this matters especially: comfort depends on the details.

The kitchen, in grey and marble effect

The kitchen, open to the living room, combines straight-lined grey fronts with a marble-effect porcelain splashback, an induction hob, a built-in oven and a black sink and tap. Floor-to-ceiling tall units concentrate the storage and keep the view from the living room clean.

Bedrooms ready to furnish

The bedrooms were handed over with light walls, the same flooring as the rest of the home and new electric radiators. In one of them, a wall recess was put to use with built-in shelves.

A compact bathroom

The bathroom was tiled in white marble-effect porcelain, with a corner shower and screen, a glossy black vanity and black tapware: a simple contrast that gives character to a small space.

Affordable materials, careful execution

Budget-range materials were chosen for this home. The emphasis went on the quality of the execution: surface preparation, finishes, fitting and the junctions between elements. The contained cost of the materials was combined with the same attention we give to high-end projects.

The result is an apartment that matches what the client wanted and the reason for the purchase: a bright, functional space to let.
