A 130 m² apartment in a historic Eixample building. In this project we combined a full turnkey renovation with the careful recovery of the original interior features. The aim: to keep the character of an old apartment and make it comfortable for modern life.

Seven months of work

The full cycle of works took seven months. We renewed the installations, carried out the finishes and restored the wooden windows with stained glass, one of the most expressive details of this home.

Natural parquet and wooden windows with stained glass

Natural parquet laid in a herringbone pattern is the base of the interior. The warm tone of the wood, the light walls and the decorative mouldings underline the classic character of the apartment. Simple contemporary furniture completes the space and leaves the period details at the centre of attention.

We paid special attention to restoring the wooden window frames. They were fully recovered, keeping the beauty of their coloured stained glass. Working with such elements calls for precision, care and respect for the original architecture.

New electrics and heating

Renovating an apartment in an old building is not only about finishes: the installations have to be thoroughly renewed too. In this home we ran new electrical wiring and installed a new heating system.

The technical solutions were agreed with the overall concept of the interior. Radiators, lighting and switches and sockets fit naturally into a space of natural parquet and classic decorative elements.

Remote turnkey renovation with video reports

The owner is a foreign client who was outside Spain during the works. We organised the whole process remotely: decisions were agreed online, we sent detailed video reports regularly and discussed the next stages of the works.

The client watched the apartment change and made decisions without having to keep travelling to the site. Organising the works, coordinating the trades and controlling quality on site were our team's job.

Bathrooms and dressing rooms

The bathrooms were made new, with wood-look tiles in a geometric pattern, black marble-effect porcelain in the shower, black-framed screens and black tapware. Two dressing rooms with made-to-measure interiors take care of the home's storage.

Care for the details

The result is an interior that keeps the personality of a historic apartment. The natural herringbone parquet, the restored wooden windows and the coloured stained glass live alongside contemporary finishes and the new electrics and heating.

This project shows our approach to turnkey renovation: considered solutions, careful execution and clear communication with the owner throughout the works.
